The Welsh Assembly's health, well-being and local government committee has published a report on organ donation.

It recommends that transplant capacity in Wales should be reviewed and that the capacity of critical care facilities should be increased to help raise the number of organs available for transplant.

However, BMA Wales secretary Dr Richard Lewis said he was disappointed that the report rejected immediate calls for legislation aimed at introducing presumed consent for organ donation.

I am a community nurse for people with learning disability. I was wondering if there is any record of people with LD being organ donors. I am aware of them being blood donors. has there ever been any research or articles about this issue?
