The chief executive of West Sussex primary care trust has said he is disappointed that the local council has decided to refer a reconfiguration decision to the health secretary.
Following the decision by West Sussex county council's joint health overview scrutiny committee, PCT chief executive John Wilderspin said: "It is disappointing that the JHOSC has chosen to refer the PCT's decisions to the secretary of state, but we respect their scrutiny throughout the Fit for the Future consultation and decision-making process."
