Best practice improves outcomes in surgery

A study by the Improving Surgical Outcomes Group has looked at how hospitals have implemented best practice to improve outcomes and save money.
The study looked at Medway Maritime Hospital in Gillingham, Kent; the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle; Worthing Hospital in West Sussex; Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley; University College Hospital in London; Torbay Hospital in Devon; York Hospital; and St Thomas' Hospital in London.
