Hospital maintenance staff strike over back pay

Maintenance staff at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals foundation trust began a series of strikes this week because they say they are owed thousands of pounds in back pay.

A group of 25 electricians, plumbers and fitters claim the trust is flouting a national agreement to give skilled maintenance staff a £3,000 a year 'recruitment and retention' payment.
