Joined-up thinking needed in children's palliative care
Palliative care services for children and young people in England and Wales have developed in an ad hoc way and are poor in some parts of the country, a review for the Department of Health has found. It says there is a lack of understanding of children's palliative care and lack of clarity over planning and development of services. Palliative care needs to be planned alongside disability services, the report recommends.
