Older people get poor deal on care homes

Older people paying as much as £30,000 a year for a room in a care home often do not know how that money is spent, reveals a new report by the Commission for Social Care Inspection.

A fair contract with older people? also found that sometimes people paying for their own care subsidise people paid for by councils.
