The desire to receive care closer to home was one of the key messages to come out of the extensive consultations leading to the development of Our care, our care, our say.Following this, a project has been set up to make recommendations to the Secretary of State about how care can effectively be shifted closer to home in six key speciality areas; dermatology, ENT, general surgery, gynaecology, orthopaedics, and urology. This event is your chance to hear early findings from the demonstration sites and learn from them how to overcome the challenges of delivering care closer to home.
A range of models exist to deliver and finance community services and
Health Service Journalhas developed this important and timely conference to explore and review these models. You will also hear a series of case studies focusing on the key speciality areas. The day will also provide much needed clarification of the role of tariff unbundling in funding and facilitating partnership based provision of community services.
