Comment on: How to buy: outsource car parking services for an easier ride
As Director of the NHS Sustainable Development Unit for England, let me lay down a challenge: I'll support any innovation in how we help people access (not necessarily travel to) and NHS facility or service. For instance, which NHS Trust will be the first to put up a large signs which says: "All car parking in this hospital is FREE (except for petrol or diesel cars)."? We need to be smart and positive and engage the public in the future. Being positive and rewarding is particularly important. After all, marting Luther King do NOT say: "I have a nightmare"....

Comment on: The NHS deserves a better, more open debate over health reform
At last: sensible balanced comment which is realistic and positive and not polarised. What is particularly strong is that there is a) call for a wider debate b) a call for transparency of interests and c) an agreed long term vision that it is in EVERYONE's interest to get this right
