Emma Stanton
Dr Emma Stanton is a practicing psychiatrist at St Thomas Hospital, London, part of South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and CEO of Beacon UK, partnering with public and private sectors to improve value by applying the principles of managed mental health care.
From 2010 – 2011, Emma was a Commonwealth Fund Harkness Fellow in Health Care Policy and Practice, and is now a Senior Asssociate at the Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness, Harvard Business School, USA, where she advanced, expanded and refined the rapidly growing body of work promoting a value-based approach to health care reform. Her research included US, German and English health system analysis and improving value by integrating mental health care delivery into primary care settings.
In addition to clinical training, former roles include Advisor to England’s Chief Medical Officer, Professor Sir Liam Donaldson, Advisor to Bupa Health Dialog and core member of the NHS National Leadership Council. Emma h
