Comment on: HSJ Live: rolling news 19.11.12
Queen Elizabeth Hosp Woolwich has closed its A&E several times in recent months. Including redirecting ambulance cases to Princess Royal at Bromley. Lewisham had 115,381 A&E cases last year including 1,644 blue light cases. The argument isn't all about PFI although that should be a good enough reason for looking into the last decade of mismanagement. QE will not be able to cope and people will lose their lives.

Comment on: Lewisham Healthcare boss appointed designate chief exec of Lewisham/Greenwich organisation
so much for an open consultation lasting until December13. All the decisions are made we just await the carve up of the few money making services that are left. It was always the case that the rump of the NHS would be the organisation that led the dismantling of a Trust that was only set up, with their agreement, at great cost in 2009. By the way has anyone managed to track down the Administrators tender for services - a £2 million contract that seems to have escaped the European Journal.

How have CSU's become such a part of this whole mess? Dismantling PCT's and SHA's shouldn't have meant inventing another layer to replace them. Already CSU's wage bills are replicating or outstripping their previous equivalents. Having CSU's report for pay and condistions to the NHSBSA when everyone knows they take their lead from the CB is dishonest.

Hmm OFT using Monitor to represent patient wishes. Bit like asking Andrew Mitchell to front police approach to swearing.

Comment on: ‘The Health Act is a car crash and that’s a shame’
Thought provoking but I can't get over the thought that at the end it will come down to money and greed (greed for position and power). Money because the NHS is a cash cow.
