Can you support us to find out more about what people think about access to GP practices?

NHS Suffolk

INVITATION TO TENDER

NHS Suffolk is responsible for commissioning high quality primary care services for approximately 600,000 people. We have 68 GP practices that have collectively attained above average national scores in the annual Ipsos Mori GP Patient Satisfaction Survey. NHS Suffolk works collaboratively with practices and has introduced a wide range of measures to improve access to GP practices.

In addition to the information provided by the quarterly national surveys, we would like to capture ‘real time’ information through regular feedback on access. This will enable NHS Suffolk and GP practices to evaluate the effectiveness of the improvement initiatives we have undertaken and prioritise further support. We are open to a variety of innovative methodologies and are looking to work with a provider who can support us to capture the patient experience, initially over a 12 month period.

To express an interest please complete an Expressions of Interest Form which is available on the NHS Suffolk website at http://www.suffolk.nhs.uk/Default.aspx?tabid=1774 or via www.supply2health.nhs.uk. The completed form must be returned to primarycare.performance@suffolkpct.nhs.uk by noon on Monday 25 May 2009. The e-mail should be titled ‘GP access - enhanced understanding’. Applicants will then be sent full tender documentation which must be submitted by noon on Monday 15
June. Short listed bidders will be invited for interview on Monday 22 June 2009.

It is anticipated that the contract will commence in early August, 2009.

Please direct any enquiries to primarycare.performance@suffolkpct.nhs.uk marked ‘GP access - enhanced understanding.’
