Delivery of tier 2 adult weight management programme

NHS Tower Hamlets

NHS Tower Hamlets requires an organisation to facilitate the delivery of a Tier 2 Weight Management Programme across the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.

The project will be aimed at those who are 19+ and classified as overweight (with a high/very high waist circumference and/or co-morbidity) or obese (with or without high/very high waist circumference and/or co morbidity).

NHS Tower Hamlets is seeking either an individual organisation or a consortium to deliver this work. However if the latter is chosen then the organisations bidding together must have in place a service level agreement which clearly states who the lead organisation is.

Organisations wishing to tender shall need to demonstrate that they have
- An understanding of what a tier 2 adult weight management programme is
- The required experience to delivery a weight management programme to a client group who may have many aliments
- The capabilities, resources and capacity to deliver this programme across the borough, taking into consideration the ethnicity, demographics and the health inequalities in Tower Hamlets
- The ability to delivery the programme required but at the same time demonstrate efficiency savings over the life of the programme

Time Frame
The trust is aiming to have a provider in place by the end of May 2010.

Outcome
Consultancies/organisations that are selected from the Pre Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) will be issued with an invitation to tender (ITT).
