The National Leadership and Innovation Agency for Healthcare in Wales (NLIAH) are seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) for provision of:
· Pre-registration Nursing (all four branches) Education and Training in North Wales
· Occupational Therapy Education and Training within North Wales
· Operating Department Practitioner Education & Training on an All Wales basis
This Advertisement is intended for organisations able to provide and manage pre-registration Nursing (all four branches) Education and Training in North Wales and/or Occupational Therapy Education and Training within North Wales and/or Operating Department Practitioner Education & Training on an All Wales basis.
NLIAH is seeking bids from provider organisations with the ambition and capacity to develop and deliver innovative training programmes in the pre- registration areas identified above that are demonstrably high quality and meet the demands of healthcare services across North Wales / Wales and the increasing expectations of the patients and carers they serve. Today’s practitioners need to be prepared for tomorrow’s healthcare challenges, working and training with healthcare professionals from other specialties and disciplines in the delivery of integrated services configured around the needs of patients and populations.
Education and training programmes must enable today’s healthcare professionals to gain appropriate knowledge and skills to fulfil their future roles as key practitioners in a health service aiming to constantly improve the quality and safety of care.
Training programmes for pre-registration Nursing must be accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC); programmes for Occupational Therapy and Operating Department Practitioners must be accredited by the Health Professions Council (HPC) thus ensuring fitness for practice, purpose and award.

· Publish Advert, Memorandum of Information (MOI) and issue Pre Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ): 27th September 2012
· Bidder Event: 10th October 2012
· PQQ and EOI responses from Bidders (deadline): 29th October 2012
· Invitation-to-Tender (ITT) issued to qualified bidders: 12th November 2012
· Bidder Clarification Questions: 14th November to 10th December 2012
· ITTresponses from Bidders (deadline): 19th December 2012
· Preferred Bidders notified: January 2013
· Contracts/Conditions Precedent signed: February 2013
· Mobilisation Commences: March 2013
· Service Commencement: September 2013
