Invite expressions of interest (via submission of a completed Pre-Qualification Questionnaire) as a first stage of the process to identify a preferred acquirer for Torbay and Southern Devon Health and Care NHS Trust, with the intention that its business is transferred by operation of statute to an NHS body, under Schedule 4 of the National Health Services Act of 2006.
The Trust is a significant provider of community services to a population of around 365,000 in Torbay and the south and west parts of the county of Devon, with a turnover of £125 million in 2012/13. It has a national and international reputation as a leader in the development and delivery of integrated health and social care in the Torbay area. Bids are invited from existing NHS Foundation Trusts with the ambition and capacity to deliver innovative user and patient centred services in a wide range of community settings, working collaboratively with health and social care commissioners, GPs and partner organisations.
This selection process is a competed process to select an NHS Foundation Trust to acquire Torbay and Southern Devon Health and Care NHS Trust. This is not a procurement within the meaning of the Procurement Regulations.
