Expressions of Interest required for provision of Adult Nursing and Physiotherapy Education and Training

NHS London

This Advertisement is intended for organisations able to provide and manage pre-registration Adult Nursing and/or Physiotherapy education and training within London.

NHS London is seeking bids from provider organisations with the ambition and capacity to develop and deliver innovative training programmes in preregistration Adult Nursing and Physiotherapy that are demonstrably high quality and meet the demands of healthcare services across London and the increasing expectations of the patients and carers they serve.

Today’s practitioners need to be prepared for tomorrow’s healthcare challenges, working and training with healthcare professionals from other specialties and disciplines in the delivery of integrated services configured around the needs of patients and populations.

Education and training programmes must enable today’s healthcare professionals to gain appropriate knowledge and skills to fulfil their future roles as key practitioners in a health service aiming to constantly improve the quality and safety of care.

Training programmes for Adult Nursing must be accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC); programmes for Physiotherapy must be accredited by the Health Professions Council (HPC) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), thus ensuring fitness for practice, purpose and award.

Further information on the requirements is set out in a Memorandum of Information (MOI) which is available on our website at www.london.nhs.uk.
