A gel used to relieve muscular aches, sprains, and bruises has become the first UK product to be licensed under the European directive on traditional herbal medicinal products.
Under the registration scheme, operated in this country by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, products must meet standards of quality, safety and patient information.
