Hear hear!

The attitudes you have found match the ones I have experienced. There is a deep misunderstanding on the part of recruiting boards of the problems the NHS faces. More of the same will not fix the situation. Fresh ideas are desperately needed and they should start with the way in which new senior managers are recruited to the NHS. Gateway to Leadership goes some of the way and should be applauded, but this will not capture the top talent that is desperately needed today at boardroom level.

I am afraid that is one of the major faults of the NHS. On the odd occassion they do employ from an external source. They seem to bring them around to their own way of thinking, rather than taking on a fresh out look with open arms.
Instead they pay contractors £1000's aday to come in a advice us.

I am sure your C.V. threatened many people who read it.
Best of luck. Keep trying
