I’m puzzled. MPs got themselves into a tizz on Monday over, among other things, whether or not spending on the NHS fell by £26m in the financial year 2011-12. That is a very trivial sum indeed in the big picture context of the NHS’s overall budget, let alone the world economic crisis.
