Daragh Fahey's childlike faith in evidence-based medicine should not go unchallenged, writes Norma Butler

When I sent them evidence I took from the British National Formulary in support of a complaint regarding an adverse drug reaction I had experienced, the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman and the General Medical Council ignored it. The GMC told me my GP had accessed "sound medical evidence" in my diagnosis but did not share this evidence with me, the patient.

So much for the transparency so strongly advocated by Dame Janet Smith.
