It is a shame that such so called powerful elite are so ignorant of the fact that Community services have not had the long history of affiliation that many hospitals have and they are just beginning to come out of the shadows of their incompetently managed PCTs.

The lip service about taking care closer to the patients is seen as horrid excursion by all acute trusts and would only agree to do it pinching their nose.

This divide and rule that the current financial position has placed the NHS is there to ruin the NHS not make it whole and Gary should be wise not to be too elitist by knocking the valuable role of community services.

PCTs did not have the cooperation of the acute hospitals especially the elite to develop the pathways that would have enhanced the health and wealth of the health economy .
