And you would have preferred a randomised control trial where n=10,000 running over a number of years with statistical controls and a placebo group and no doubt umpteen consultations until it dies a death from inertia and losing the will to live? We judge a hotel stay or a flight or a meal by the same criteria - no one gives a toss if Trip Advisor says hundreds of people loved it if your experience was crap, you want recompense or some sort of action. Time to drag attitudes like yours kicking and screaming into the new world we're all entering in 2013 and as an NHS manager with 20+ years in, I for one can't wait and sincerely hope we get shot of backwards attitudes like the NIMBYISM above.
