That nice Mr Francis is probably on a grand or two per day for what he has made a very prolonged inquiry which will eventually reveal the blindingly obvious. Nice work if you can get it. By contract the CQC chair is hard work and poor money. The HSJ did not determine Dame Jo's departure, they just knew it was in the wind; and it will not tempt Sir Robert into the CQC job.
