Comment on: ‘Weak’ chiefs keep London NHS hospitals in stasis
I thought all five sectors in london(NWL, SWL,SEL,NEL,NCL) all have an organisation which coordinates and aligns the commissioning activities(strategy and intentions) for PCTs in their areas. The organisation is called the commissioning collaborative intentions. Each Collaboarative seems to have a lead Director or programme Director with PCT Chief Executive as lead. My point is: As opposed to spending so much time in re-organising PCTs again, do we need to give this collaborative group more 'clout', resources and power? Is there any point in re-inventing the wheel again?

I beg to differ: it is not about leadership, it is about having the right level of motivation within PCT to deliver.
