Calls for Expressions of Interest for the provision of NHS Primary Medical Care and related services.

West Kent Primary Care Trust invites Expressions of Interest from all suitably qualified and experienced healthcare providers, including general practitioners, social enterprise or third sector organisations and any other organisations able to provide a range of primary care, enhanced primary care, diagnostics and minor surgery services.

The services sought by West Kent PCT are as follows: West Kent PCT seeks to develop a range of primary medical care services to be provided by General Practitioners, including Core Services, Directed Enhanced Services, New Directed Enhanced Services, National Enhanced Services and Locally Enhanced Services to both registered and unregistered patients through a new general practice service.

This will be in or near the Ebbsfleet Development as part of the regeneration programme and the original planning application includes a health centre site.

Although a specific location has been identified as part of the Springhead Park regeneration project the PCT does not want to restrict potential bidders from putting forward innovative solutions for the provision of these services.

The proposed scheme is subject to public consultation, in accordance with the requirements of the Health and Social Care Act 2001. Consultation has already commenced in relation to this scheme.

Those intending to submit an Expression of Interest in tendering for the contract are asked to so in accordance with the instructions set out in the Memorandum of Information, to be returned to the WKPCT before 12.00 hours Friday 23rd May 2008 to the address contained within the Memorandum of Information which is available from the above website.

There will be a 'Bidders Information Day' on Thursday 8th May 2008 between 11.00 hours and approximately 13.00 hours at the Gravesham Community Hospital, Bath Street, Gravesend, Kent, DA11 0DG
