Invitation to Express an Interest

Consultant Led Community Based Ophthalmology Service for South Birmingham Primary Care Trust.

South Birmingham PCT is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably experienced and qualified providers for the provision of a consultant led community based ophthalmology service which is accessible, high quality, cost effective and will improve patient attendance and compliance. The contract is for a period of three years with the option to extend for a further two and it is anticipated it will commence by January 2009.

This service is to be provided initially within the Hall Green Locality for a population of approximately 74,500. It is then to be extended to cover the whole of South Birmingham PCT by the establishment of three additional community clinics.

All consultant led community ophthalmology clinics to be established within one year of the contract being placed unless specifically agree with South Birmingham PCT.
