Call for Expressions of Interest for the provision of NHS Primary Medical Care and related services

Primary Care Trusts (PCTs) within NHS South West invite Expressions of Interest from all suitably qualified and experienced healthcare providers (including general practitioners, social enterprise / third sector organisations and other providers) to provide a range of primary care, enhanced primary care, diagnostics and minor surgery services.

The commissioning PCTs are as follows:

Bath and North East Somerset PCT
Bournemouth and Poole Teaching PCT
Bristol Teaching PCT
Cornwall and Isles of Scilly PCT
Devon PCT
Dorset PCT
Gloucestershire PCT
North Somerset PCT
Plymouth Teaching PCT
Somerset PCT
South Gloucestershire PCT
Swindon PCT
Torbay Care Trust
Wiltshire PCT

To be considered for the formal tender process you must be able to demonstrate an effective track record of delivering primary medical care. The proposed schemes are subject to public engagement in accordance with current legal requirements.

For further information on each of the above schemes and the procurement process, interested parties are directed to the relevant scheme's Memorandum of Information, which will appear on the commissioning PCT's website no later than 12th May 2008 and can be accessed via the Equitable Access Programme tab on the NHS South West website available at: www.southwest.nhs.uk

Those wishing to submit an Expression of Interest in tendering for the contracts are asked to do this in accordance with the instructions set out in the individual schemes' Memoranda of Information.
