The Manchester Mental Health Joint Commissioning Team (JCT) is responsible for the commissioning, funding and contract management of mental health services in Manchester.
The offender mental health population has often been identified both nationally and locally to be a socially excluded group, with individuals within this group often experiencing difficulties in accessing mainstream mental health services.
Following a successful pilot project, the JCT are now inviting tenders to deliver a city-wide mental health criminal justice liaison service in Manchester for people who have a mental disorder or illness; who have a history of offending or offending behaviours; who are using substances in a problematic way and / or who have a personality disorder and multiple complex risk behaviours. The Service Specification providing more details of this service and requirements can be found online at the following web address: http://www.manchesterpct.nhs.uk/pct/serviceproviderregister/invitationstotender/
