PERFORMANCE: The 2gether Foundation Trust has retained its level one rating with the NHS Litigation Authority despite taking on extra services.
The Gloucestershire based mental health trust will now provide additional mental health, learning disability and substance misuse services after taking on NHS Herefordshire’s provider arm under the transforming community services programme.
The trust’s board was concerned this would reduce its NHSLA risk rating to zero, meaning it would not receive the 10 per cent discount on their contributions to the NHSLA insurance scheme.
The trust first received a one rating in November 2009 and had been planning to be assessed for level two during 2011, which would have led to a 20 per cent discount. The trust will now be assessed for level two during November 2011.
