WORKFORCE: All primary care trust staff not moving to the NHS Commissioning Board, clinical commissioning groups or local government will go to the commissioning support service, one group of PCT clusters has said.
Board papers for the Berkshire cluster say that there has been “considerable progress” setting up the CSS covering Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, and Gloucestershire and Swindon.
The papers say: “All staff not assigned to CCGs or without a clear direction of travel to local government, the local area office [of the NHS Commissioning Board] or the Commissioning Board will be deemed to have their future in the commissioning support unit.”
Nigel Foster, previously director of finance and performancefor the Berkshire cluster’s transitional executive committee, was appointed full-time interim managing director for the organisation on 1 April.
The CSS is formally hosted by Oxfordshire PCT.
