PERFORMANCE: The trust this month recorded the sixth highest number of breaches of the Department of Health’s guidelines on mixed sex accommodation.

Latest data for July – based on returns from all 167 acute trusts in England – show the trust breached the guidelines on 41 occasions, down from 123 in June and 88 in May.

Its breach rate – the number of breaches per 1,000 finished consultant episodes – was 3.8 for July.

However, it has significantly improved its position since April when it had 377 breaches, making it the fourth worst performer.

By region, the majority of breaches, 346, were in NHS London followed by the NHS South East Coast with 271.
