FINANCE: The trust has warned that £3.6m of its income is under dispute with commissioners, which poses a risk to its agreed year-end position.

According to its February finance report, the disagreement over income is “primarily with [NHS] West Sussex”.

It said £3.6m of income required “resolution with commissioners”, which related to Commissioning for Quality and Innovation (CQUIN) performance, delivering same-sex accommodation challenges, and anticipated reductions in activity.

The report said: “The level of risk around the income received by the trust remains high as the trust and commissioners work towards an agreed year end position.”

Despite the acknowledged risk, the trust continues to forecast delivery of the year-end control total surplus of £4.96m.
