COMMERCIAL: Calderdale PCT is inviting companies to bid to provide a diabetic retinopathy screening programme across the region. 

Its present contract with 1st RS Limited screeners is due to expire at the end of the year and the PCT are keen to award a new contract in October to be up and running by January 2012.

According to board papers, the contract value is worth around £415,465 per year and is expected to rise year on year with increasing numbers of people being diagnosed with diabetes.
