STRUCTURE: South Devon and Torbay Clinical Commissioning Group is hoping to be among the first wave of CCGs to be authorised, while North East and West (NEW) Devon CCG is aiming for wave three.

A report to the Devon, Plymouth and Torbay commissioning board said the key area requiring focus for South Devon and Torbay is “ensuring that there is a prioritised plan to fill any potential gaps in evidence for the authorisation process”.

The key areas requiring focus for South Devon and Torbay are timeley appointment to senior roles and completion of the constitution with sufficient support from member practices.

The cluster has secured £60,000 from the National Leadership Council to support CCG development.

NEW Devon have apppointed consultancy organisation, Attain, to assist some of the work while South Devon and Torbey have appointed Price Waterhouse Coopers.
