PERFORMANCE: Clinicians at Aylesbury Vale clinical commissioning group have begun a “comprehensive review” of intermediate services.
The move is in response to GP referrals and outpatient attendances being consistently above plan.
Meanwhile non endoscopic diagnostic activity was 13.3 per cent above trajectory, and 8.5 per cent above plan.
Board papers said: “CCG clinical leads continue the revisiting and reinvigorating the pathways for the intermediate service. This includes a more integrated approach between the intermediate service and Buckinghamshire Healthcare Trust, including diagnostics.
“A specific project is being set up to provide a comprehensive review of the efficacy of the intermediate services.”
