FINANCE: NHS Guildford and Waverley Clinical Commissioning Group has a total budget of around £230m for the 2013-14 financial year.

The CCG has a total allocation, including running costs, of £233m according to its 2013-14 prospectus. It shows that it hopes to achieve a surplus of 0.5%, equivalent to £1.1m.

It also needs to deliver the “challenging” QIPP (quality, innovation, productivity and prevention) savings target of £7.5m.

The prospectus shows that the CCG has allocated £123m for acute services, £30.8m for primary care services, £20.5m each for continuing care and mental health, and £19.8m for community services.
