WORKFORCE: A consultant from Plymouth Hospitals Trust has been elected clinical vice president of the Royal College of Physicians.

Anita Donley, a consultant physician in acute medicine has been elected, will be resposible for the college’s clinical quality work and will lead the Clinical Standards Department, including work relating to guidelines, national audit, service accreditation quality improvement, patient safety and revalidation.

In addition to her role as an acute physician, Dr Donley is medical director of the Department of Health’s Revalidation Support Team.
