- David Clayton-Smith appointed as independent chair of BOB ICS
- He will work with ICS executive lead and trust chief executives to support ICS
An Academic Health Science Network board chief has been apppointed independent chair of the Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West integrated care system.
Current chair of the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Academic Health Science Network, David Clayton-Smith, has been selected to join the BOB ICS board.
He will work with ICS executive lead, Fiona Wise, as well as chief executives from across the BOB patch “to support and promote partnership working”.
Mr Clayton-Smith – who is also currently the chair of the Epsom and St Helier Improving Healthcare Together 2020-30 board – has broad experience of board roles within the NHS, including the East Sussex Healthcare Trust.
He is also a board member and treasurer of Fairtrade International and the director and co-founder of Andrum Consulting – which specialises in supporting entrepreneurial businesses.
Mr Clayton-Smith said: “I am committed to ensuring that partnership working continues to be a strong theme throughout the work of the ICS.
“I am looking forward to the opportunity to play my part in helping to achieve the BOB ICS ambition and vision for the communities we serve.”
