FINANCE: The community health directorate of Somerset Partnership Foundation Trust is overspent on district nursing by £137,000 and by £72,000 on enteral feeds, and is experiencing pressure on inpatient wards and minor injury units.

A report to the board said the overspends were being offset by underspends elsewhere in the service and the directorate is within the planned budget overall.

The report said the issue of enteral feeds has been raised with the Somerset clinical commissioning group as part of the discussions on the development of a three year financial framework.
