PERFORMANCE: Patients not attending appointments are causing problems for the South Essex Partnership University Foundation Trust.

The board heard that DNAs were as high as 24 per cent in Luton and were close to 20 per cent for first appointments in South Essex in February.

Patients were often offered appointments at short notice but this could mean that they had less choice of times. The board was reassured that notes for patients who who did not attend were scrutinised and risk assessments carried out.
