PERFORMANCE: St Helens and Knowsley Hospitals Trust has scored top marks in its latest patient safety assessment.
Assessors for the NHS Litigation Authority (NHSLA) awarded the trust the highest score ever given to a hospital trust in England for its Level 2 assessment.
They praised the enthusiasm and motivation of the staff they met during their visit.
“We’re very pleased with the results from the NHSLA safety assessment with the trust receiving the highest score any trust has received,” said chief executive Ann Marr.
“Patient safety is extremely important to us and we will always aim to learn and improve.”
