COMMERCIAL: NHS Worcestershire is conducting a market assessment of interest in providing admission prevention and rehabilitation beds.
The request for information notice on Supply to Health reveals the primary care trust is considering tendering for a provider of 20 beds within the Worcestershire city area.
Services to be provided would include 24 hour nursing, monitoring and treatment of sub-acute medical conditions, including IV drug therapy; intensive physiotherapy and occupational therapy input within a rehabilitation process; palliative care assessment; and complex discharge planning.
The PCT believes patients will benefit from the co-location of health and social care staff.
The notice comes as a Worcestershire wide review of health services gets underway.
