WORKFORCE: Gloucestershire and Herefordshire’s 2gether NHS Foundation trust has made new staff appointments.
Trish Jay, a registered nurse and previously managing director of NHS Herefordshire’s provider services, has been appointed as director of quality and performance.
Additionally two new non-executives, Charlotte Hitchings and Richard Szadziewski, have been appointed.
Ms Jay will join the trust’s board as an executive director. She will provide leadership at board level for nursing, allied health professionals and social care and lead the trust’s quality accounts, focusing on patient outcomes, safety and experience.
She said: “I’m looking forward to working with all colleagues to build on the significant progress that has already taken place across Gloucestershire and Herefordshire to make sure we continue improvements and provide high quality, local services for our communities.”
Charlotte Hitchings has been a senior manager in large organisations for more than 20 years. She has held roles within marketing, business development, product development and community investment.
Richard Szadziewski has held finance director roles in seven public sector organisations and was director of corporate services in South Gloucestershire Council.
Trust chair Baroness Rennie Fritchie said: ‘I’m very pleased to welcome Charlotte and Richard to the Trust. This is an important and challenging time for us and their community involvement, commercial and financial experience will help strengthen our already strong Board.”
