Matthew Hopkins moved to Mid and South Essex Foundation Trust to take on the largest trust in the East of England last year. It marks the fourth chief executive role for Mr Hopkins, a former NHS nurse with significant experience in managing trusts with significant performance or financial challenges. He first led Epsom and St Helier Trust, before moving on to Barking Redbridge and Havering Trust and then, Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Trust.
