South Downs Health Trust has appointed Clodagh Warde-Robinson as its new deputy chief executive.

Ms Warde-Robinson, who was previously a non-executive director at South Downs, will also be the trust’s director of strategy and new business.

The trust is currently in the process of taking over the running of NHS West Sussex’s provider arm.

Trust chief executive Andy Painton said: “Clodagh brings an outstanding blend of innovative business development, organisational change and marketing experience to the trust, which will be invaluable as we integrate with West Sussex Health (Community Services) and shape our new trust.”

Ms Warde-Robinson previously held senior executive positions at Goldman Sachs and Lehman Brothers and was director of an HIV/AIDs initiative in Uganda.

As a result of the appointment, John O’Sullivan has reverted to the post of director of finance and Paul Larsen has left the post of interim director of finance.

Mr Painton also announced that Andrew Harrington would be continuing in his role as interim director of nursing and governance.
