WORKFORCE: Ashford and St Peter’s Hospital FT plans to shed more than a hundred whole time equivalent posts over the next three years, while reducing agency use.
The targets are set out in its forward plan strategy for the next three years, which was submitted to Monitor in April.
The document states that the current workforce in 2011-12 is 3,253 WTE and that it hopes to see this reduced to 3,184 WTE in 2012-13 and then to 3,125 WTE in 2013-14.
In addition, the strategy says the FT wants to reduce its maximum average agency usage per month, down from 35 WTE in 2011-13 to 25 in 2012-13 and 15 in 2013-14.
