PERFORMANCE: Queen’s Hospital, Romford, and King George, Ilford, were both rated red for handover times.
The figures, produced by NHS London, showed the hospitals - two of the three run by the trust - at four times the percentage that the strategic health authority set for achieving a green rating for percentage of ambulance arrivals waiting more than 15 minutes. Queen’s made 64.6 per cent of patients wait longer than 15 minutes and King George 60 per cent.
All the rest of capital’s hospitals, barring Queen Mary’s in Sidcup - part of South London Healthcare Trust - were also rated red. But the two north-east London hospitals also had some of the worst average handover times - Queen’s seeing 20.8 minutes and King George 19.6.
The figures taken from one week in November were presented to NHS London’s Professional Leadership Group in December
