WORKFORCE: The sector skills council for health will be working with the east London trust on a “systematic skill mix review, one of the key actions from the CQC action plan”.
The trust was given funds by NHS London’s challenged trust board to undertake the work.
A report to the trust’s January board meeting said: “Skills for Health have an established and proven approach to large scale workforce projects and change programmes have been commissioned to work with divisions and clinicians to review their workforce profile against current and future service requirements.
“Commencing at end January/beginning February and starting in A&E, the six month work programme will also be supported by a series of scenario based 1/2 day workforce planning workshops.”
