PERFORMANCE: Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals Trust is missing the four-hour A&E target for January, although is still on track for the year-to-date, board papers reveal.

In January the trust recorded a total of 91 per cent of A&E attendees seen or discharged within four hours, against the national target of 95 per cent.

Interim chief executive Tim Peachey wrote in his March report to the board: “Thanks are due to the Director of Nursing and Director of Operations - Planned Care for their commitment and flexibility in ensuring that the trust maintains performance during a period of extreme operational pressure.”
