FINANCE: Newham University Hospital Trust is £2.2m behind its finance plan for 2011-12, an NHS London finance report said.

The east London general hospital trust had predicted an £858,000 surplus by month eight but showed a deficit of £1.4m.

The report said this was: “due to CIP slippage and previous cost control issues although the run rate is now almost in balance.”

The trust is predicting a full-year surplus of £2.2m.
