PERFORMANCE: Birmingham and Solihull primary care trust cluster is overperforming on demand for both elective and non elective care.
There were 97,000 GP referrals to hospital in July, against a target of 86,000, while other referrals for a first outpatient appointment were 10,000 over plan at 72,000
Elective first finished consultant episodes stood at 53,000 against a plan of 51,000, while non elective first finished consultant episodes numbered 50,000 against a target of 46,000.
The cluster is performing strongly against the key standards for 18 weeks referral to treatment, and cancer.
